New Theme:

WordPress.com has just announced a new theme called Titan, take a look…

I’ve Added Some Widgets…

Check out my sidebar and footer and you’ll notice that I’ve added some widgets to them. If you’re not sure what a widget is then take a look at What’s a widget and how so I add one?

So now besides having the usual helpful information like recent posts, comments and sites I like you can also:

- subscribe to this blog via email
- you can take a look at my Flickr photos
- see what I’ve been up to on Twitter?

It just makes the blog a little bit more interactive and an interesting place to visit…hopefully!

I love the ease with which I can add these elements to the blog, it took me no more than 5 minutes to do all this, and it integrates social media and photo sharing quickly and it works seamlessly.

And that’s the great thing about blogs, being able to customise them and make them individual quickly and easily without any knowledge of website design. Anyone can do it…

Changing to Motion Theme…

I’ve finally made a decision, I’m going to change the theme of this blog to the Motion theme, it’s quite dark with strong colours and very different to any theme I’ve ever had on any of my blogs before, so I thought it was time for a change.

Take a look around as it’s got some nice features, like a ‘back to the top’ link at the bottom of the page which just makes the browsing experience that little bit nicer. And the transparent feel of the text as you scroll down the blog.

I’m really pleased with it and I will be having a play around with the widgets next…

Choosing My New Theme

I’m trying to decide which theme to use for this blog and I’m having trouble because I like 3 of them and I can’t choose? Maybe I’ll swap them around every month…

These are my 3 favs – which one looks the best?

Changed Theme to Pool

I’ve changed this blogs theme for the time being from the Kubrick default theme that comes with the blog to the Pool theme. I did it for my Anatomy of a Blog – Jargon Buster post over at Build a Blog, to demonstrate the differences between themes.

Look out for more theme changes as I find a more permenant one…

Updating my About Page

About pages are a great way to get the message of your blog across to your readers. Update them regularly and add to them to keep it fresh. I’ve just updated this blogs (our test blog) about page.

I’m going to post each time I change or add to this blog so there’s a record of what I’ve been doing, that way I won’t miss anything. I’m posting about the changes I make and how I do them on Build a Blog, but it’s not feasible to do every little one there so it makes sense to do it here instead!
